Reasons’ Monsters (after Goya)

A series of 8 intaglio etchings on Copperplate paper, 14x16″ with variable image size, 2009.
Each print is editioned and available, published by the artist.

The series appropriates the Disasters of War by Francisco Goya and integrates images and icons from today’s conflicts in the Middle East.  Each piece starts as a Goya work, and through drawing and erasure I updated/intervened in his work to comment on the timeless qualities of atrocity, war and destruction.
